I have created several custom autocorrect entries so that when I type a particular key combination it will be autocorrected to a musical symbol. The font for the musical symbol is ScaleDegrees Times. The autocorrect is working just fine; I type the key combination, hit the space bar, and there is my symbol.

The problem is that when I type the next characters they are not in my default font. The font has changed to Microsoft’s default Cambria. I first posted this question on November 4, The thread has since been locked. At that time I also wrote that the problem only existed on a Windows platform. I have since updated my Mac software to Word and find that the problem now exists there, too.

Responses have included instructions on changing my default font. I have done so and the problem persists. This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.
